I don’t know, because I think it’s not so much the fear of life-ending, but of having it end without having done what matters to you.
It’s related to one The 5 Regrets of The Dying, and not living your life.
- “I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”
- “I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.” Especially on the wrong thing
- “I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.” Creating art that matters to you is a way to express what you feel
- “I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.” For me myself I want to have more intentional friends around common pursuits. I have plenty of accidental friends (from school or where I live).
- “I wish that I had let myself be happier.” Doing meaningful work is a reliable route to happiness.
